Since 2019, the college admission procedures of each academic year has been taking place via online mode. As a part of the same, candidates are asked to register in the college website. Prior the registration procedures they will be provided a time slot during which their preliminary round of interview would be done by the respective department faculties. The selected candidates will further have to undergo another final round of interview with the Principal. If selected, confirmation regarding the admission would gradually be informed. This Single Window mode of admission enables IQAC to ensure the ease of access to admission formalities both among students and their parents/guardians as they would not have to constantly keep up regarding the status of admission. IQAC also ensures data collection, quality and accuracy of the collected information via the single window mode.
With the goal of improving the teaching learning process, IQAC has developed teaching plans with special emphasis on teaching inputs and methods. Faculties are advised to make use of most recently updated technology so as to impart practical knowledge to students rather than plain factual lectures. They also ensure that the strategies implemented motivate and stimulate the students to perform better.
IQAC has planned and executed a standardized way of student assessment through a post admission test that evaluates the aptitude of each student. The test includes an assessment of 25% arithmetic, 25% language skills, 25% general knowledge and the remaining 25% of proficiency in their own chosen subject. According to the score they will be classified into the following categories: Above Average Average Below Average. The Above Average category or advanced learners will be provided an opportunity to enhance and develop their skills through activities like peer learning and group discussions. The Average category of learners will be constantly provided motivation to enhance their performance. The Below Average category of learners will be provided with scheduled remedial classes and bridge courses so as to improve their performance.
The Faculty Development Programme (FDP) aims to help instructors in their particular fields improve their knowledge and skills by providing chances.
The IQAC has a standardized variety of processes which is necessary for monitoring and improving quality in general. With this they ensure that the processes carried out meets the required list of standards. They also keep a check on whether these processes are held within the allotted time limit.
Every year , an internal academic audit is undertaken. For this two external members and one internal member is appointed of which one is an academician, and the other is a member from each department. IQAC ensures that this audit is carried out regularly every year without fail.
A system for assessing the achievement of POs, PSOs and COs has been developed and implemented. The system ensures that the COs are analysed in relation to the PSOs at the faculty level, the PSOs are analysed at the HODs level, and the POs are analysed by the Principal. Such an analysis at various levels help to achieve the effectiveness of the teaching learning process.
IQAC ensures that the functioning of all the cells, committees and other institutional activities are proper and whether they conduct regular meetings, prepare and submit their meeting reports, request approval for their decisions and keep a check on follow ups. IQAC also checks whether HOD meetings and faculty meetings are conducted on a regular basi and whether they acknowledge and address various issues, thereby taking proper measures to improve.
In collaboration with each department, IQAC aims to plan and manage the implementation of Green Protocol. As per this, we promote plastic free campus, conservation of water, electricity and other resources. Once implemented IQAC keeps a check on whether these protocols are functioning smoothly.
In 2019 an IQAC recommended Central Examination Cell was established in the campus to coordinate the internal assessments of the entire campus. IQAC ensures that question papers are recieved and prepared 7 days prior the commencement of the exams and they are held as per the schedule. They also ensure that no malpractices occur during the exams. In order to keep a check on the proper functioning of all this an Examination Squad will be established by the IQAC. An innovative strategy for re-evaluation process is that the answer sheets of candidates applied for re-evaluation will not be evaluated by the same examiner.
