Santhigiri Interdisciplinary Research Centre (SIRC), is a knowledge economy dissemination centre and its unparalleled resources to the research community through collaboration and creativity is noteworthy. It is a centre of academic research and skill excellence. Faculty and students who are having a spark of innovative thoughts with right aptitude, attitude can flourish from SIRC platform. The primary objective of the SIRC is to promote quality research programs that facilitate and support multi-disciplinary cum International research. Institute-industry interaction may open new avenues to facilitate scholar friendly research outcome. The focus of research in SIRC is to help the researchers for:

1. Developing and nurturing international linkages for research and development.
2. Organizing Generic Training Programs for Scholars.
3. Formation of Research Forums and Research Groups
4. Interaction between various Research Groups through research forum meeting.
5. Fostering of relationships with funding agencies to better understand research priorities.
6. Support Short-term courses/Seminars/Workshops along with Conference and Symposiums for effective dissemination of knowledge.
7. Establishing connectivity between Faculty and Researchers and organizing lectures by Eminent Scientists from various R&D organizations and Industry through visits.
8. Improving the Institute-Industry interaction and provide need based technology to existing industries.
9. Identifying and protecting intellectual property rights.
10. Promoting entrepreneurship promotion, incubation, and and support systems, more particularly innovative ventures of the deep technology variety, with an enviable start-up ecosystem comprises Entrepreneurship Development Cell (ED), IDEA Club and SHIP.
11. Selected scholars will be guided to systematically and diligently discover entrepreneurial opportunities and aids them to formally establish their start-ups via an effective combination of taught courses, intense research supported by supervision, and mentorship by highly accomplished entrepreneurs, thus possibility of commercialization happens through formal technology transfer. SIRC aids to elevate funds through the Kerala Innovation Fund to develop projects through Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council (K-DISC).
