As a Social Work Student, Santhigiri equipped me with values, knowledge, skills and the practice essentials to be a professional social worker. It helped me reflect on how to deliver an excellent service to those in need. We got excellent support from peers, teaching staff and Santhigiri Management. We were able to share and discuss the latest social work issues and take part in mentoring with our respective academic and practice tutors. Santhigiri College has strong links with both statutory and voluntary organisations and this made me confident that the knowledge and experience gained will be recognised in the social work sector.

The Master of Social Work program from Santhigiri College has been truly influential and foundational for the achievements I made in this field. The social work program provided the theoretical and practical basis for the practice of social work in different work settings by providing quality instructional hours and sufficient field work opportunities where I got to learn and implement the principles of Social work. The management was strongly focused on facilitating the development of emerging social workers by giving us the opportunity to initiate, plan and co-ordinate relevant social programs in the community. I am proud to say that I landed in my first job with CAPART before graduation from a campus recruitment opportunity. The practical work experiences that I achieved during the program gave me the confidence and skill set to work in the field of mental health where I am actively employed for the last 15 years.
Looking back on my education at Santhigiri College, one word that comes to mind is exceptional. I found the classes and knowledge taught to be rewarding in every aspect, resulting in immediate success in my career upon graduation. While at Santhigiri, I was always fascinated with and fell in love with while completing the degree on campus. One of the greatest things about the Management Department is the professors. They truly understand the merging of lectures and real-world examples to review while learning different topics. I thoroughly enjoyed viewing ongoing current events through the lens of lecture material in this degree.The core principles taught in this class set me up to understand and implement various analytical methods within the company. The degree earned at Santhigiri will set you up with all the tools needed to have a successful career in any path you follow I am proud to be a Falcon alumnus and the Santhigiri College and its numerous faculty have shaped my career and the person I am today!

I am proud to have been one of the Top Five finalists of Star of Santhigiri. For me, it was far more than a competition—it was a transformative journey of personal growth and self-discovery. The confidence I gained through this experience is beyond words. We began as 65 participants, which gradually narrowed to 25, then 10, and finally the Top Five. Throughout the competition, we were challenged with tasks that strengthened our creativity, problem-solving abilities, and confidence. One of the most memorable aspects of this journey was the friendships we built. Although we were competitors, we encouraged and supported one another at every stage. I am grateful to the college, my teachers, and my friends for helping me discover my true potential. This unforgettable experience has given me memories that I will cherish forever.
