Greetings!!!!! On behalf of the Computer Science Department at Santhigiri College, it gives me great pleasure and satisfaction to extend my greetings to all of the students and their parents. We started our journey in the year of 2002.We offer undergraduate programmes and post-graduate programmes in Computer Science. The programmes (MCA & BCA) run by our Department are job-oriented which not only impart knowledge but also make one competitive at the global level. In order to keep updated with the latest development in Information Technology the Department organizes workshops and extension lectures. These workshops and lectures help the students to boost their knowledge and confidence. Here the students are given independent projects to work upon to explore their skills and abilities. It also acts as a tool for self-judgment.

We make great efforts to shape outstanding computer professionals with ethical and human values to reshape the nation’s destiny. The primary focus of our curriculum is to impart technical knowledge to students, to promote problem solving skills and there by trigger the interest in innovation of new technologies. The course content are periodically updated for introducing new scientific and technological developments. Students are encouraged to undertake various projects, fest and competitions. We offer a good number of certificate courses and training programmes for helping students to pursue their interest. We regularly organize national and international seminars.

The Department has great pride in the infrastructure facilities available here. A well-equipped infrastructure to promote the academic and cultural activities of the students is one of our accomplishments. We have a strong placement team here headed by the senior faculties. They assist the talented and enthusiastic youth by providing the right direction. The objective of the placement cell is to nurture the professional development of the students by training them in employability enhancement skills such as resume building, interview skills and group discussion techniques, logical reasoning and aptitude skills which in turn help the students to land desired job profiles and apply to prestigious professional schools. We have a Department library here to help the students and teachers with the necessary secondary resources for teaching and learning. The Department has a group of highly qualified faculty members to guide the youth, which in turn is being reflected in the overall performance of the students
