Staff Council

The staff council in Santhigiri College is an advisory body to help the Principal in academic matters and the maintenance of discipline. Some of the general administrative work of the College may be distributed by the Principal among the members of the Council or other staff.

The major objectives/functionalities of the staff council are,

To provide ideas for the overall progress of the College.
To discuss and advise the principal on taking disciplinary action.
To facilitate communication among the staff and College Management.
To assess academic work periodically.
To collect and disseminate information related to staff matters.
To collect and disseminate information related to staff matters.
To participate, assist and advise in the decision-making processes for safeguarding the interest of staff.
To nominate staff representatives as members of various committees of the College.
To recommend new policies or changes in the existing policies pertaining to staff.
To promote and advocate professionalism and support opportunities for the staff.
To make the working environment of the College enjoyable and enriching for all.

Students’ Council

The Students’ Council is the representative body of the entire students community of Santhigiri College of Computer Sciences. The Council’s mission is to encourage and promote the values that represent good character in the students and build responsible leaders within the students’ community. It also facilitates an effective communication between management and students of our college.

The Council currently consists of fifty-five selected representatives of the students’ community and four Faculty Coordinators. It comprises the Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Arts Club Secretary, Sports Club Secretary and the Magazine Editor. All activities and associations within the campus work under the formal auspices of the Students’ Council.
